Graduate Hooding Ceremony

Hooding Ceremony Details

- All graduation-eligible students should submit their RSVP form by June 1, 2026
- All graduates must purchase their regalia; WOU graduate regalia is available for sale through the WolfStore (provided by Jostens)
- All graduates are asked to arrive (and be dressed in their regalia) no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 12, 2026 to prepare for the event. Upon arrival, graduates will:
- Line up based on their graduate program
- Receive final instructions from staff
- Be given their name cards that they must hold onto to hand to the name reader on the stage
- Doors to the WAC will open at 5:30 p.m. for guests
- All graduates will be seated by program but may choose their seat within their designated program area
- Graduates will be called up by program and each name will be read as they are by graduate staff
Eligibility Requirements
- You are eligible to participate in commencement if you graduated in Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026, Summer 2026, or Fall 2026.
- To participate, you must apply for graduation in Experience by April 10. This deadline includes students finishing their degrees in the summer or fall after the ceremony.
- Apply for the term in which you will complete all degree requirements — not the term you plan to attend Commencement.
How to Sign-Up for Hooding Ceremony
- Beginning in mid-April, all graduation-eligible students will receive an e-mail with a link to register to participate in Commencement.
- Submit the form by June 1 to reserve your spot for this year’s event.
- In this form, graduates will have an opportunity to indicate the number of guests they anticipate attending the event, and if their guests need any accessibility accommodations.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to attend Commencement on June 13, you must also complete that RSVP process—the Graduate Hooding Ceremony is a separate event. Students will not receive diplomas and/or covers at the Hooding Ceremony held on June 12.
